If you are covered under a Medicare Part A plan, Medicare will cover 80% of the cost of any qualifing equipment. Either you or your secondary is responsible for the remaining 20% balance. If you are covered under a Medicaid plan, they are responsible for the remaining 20%.
In most cases, our customers have no out of pocket expenses when it comes to equipment purchases. When they do, their finacial responsibility is identified early in the process.
Unfortunately, most of the private Medicare HMO plans do not cover equipment or equipment repairs. If they do, the reimbursement is so little that it is less than the manufacture's cost to a dealer like CVI Medical. CVI Medical and most other providers can not afford to sale or service equipment.
